Enchanted by Nancy MadoreBy Nancy Madore

‘Enchanted’ is a compilation of erotic fairy tales. Each classic story is a retold with a focus on eroticism. With 13 short stories there is a little something for everyone. A couple of the more unique retellings were ‘Goldilocks and the Three Barons’ and ‘The Empress’ New Clothes’. As is apparent in the title ‘Goldilocks and the Three Barons’ puts a group play twist on the original story, while ‘The Empress’ New Clothes’ is a story about a bored Empress pushing the limits of social norms and exploring the realms of exhibitionism.

‘East of the Sun and West of the Moon’ was this readers favorite short story. An erotic retelling of the classic, Eros & Psyche; a story that is already intrinsically erotic. Sensually written, it brings every explicit detail of a strange man sneaking into your bedchamber and seducing you night after night to life.

This book is a great read for anyone new to the genre or new to exploring their own sexuality. With quite a few short stories it is easy to get a flavor for many different aspects of eroticism and/or sexuality. Plus the added charm of being erotic retellings of fairy tales nostalgically brings to life every young girls fantasies. Having said all that, the stories are a bit on the short side which doesn’t allow for the same suspense and anticipation that this reader is partial to. However, this book was designed as a collection of bedtime stories – quick but gets the job done.
